Vineyards: A Journal of Christian Poetry

The inaugural issue of Vineyards was published in Spring of 2010. The editor and publisher, Philip C. Kolin, has had poetry published in the pages of Ancient Paths literary magazine, and his collection, Deep Wonder, has been reviewed in the small press review section of this website.

Vineyards is an annual publication, and subscriptions are $10 a year for U.S. residents and  $15.00 a year for residents outside the U.S. Ordering information may be found on the Vienyards website. The publication is digest-sized, staple bound, with cardstock cover and is approximately 60 pages. It includes short biographies of all of the contributors. There is no internal art work.

The inaugural issue includes verse from a number of talented poets, including Scott Cairns, whom I recently had the pleasure of hearing read aloud from his poetry at our church during the Fairfax Fall for the Book festival and who has recently published a spiritual autobiography titled Short Trip to the Edge. The journal boasts a clear, crisp design. I expect to see many more quality issues of this publication in the years to come.
